Fine silver and fine gold items are made using Precious Metal Clay (PMC) an exciting new product developed by Mitsubishi Materials Corp. in the 1990s.  PMC is composed of  pure silver or gold in its finest powder form combined with H20 and a non-toxic binder (clay). When fired to a temperature between 1110 to 1830 degrees, depending on the type of  PMC, the binder burns off and the metal fuses together leaving 99.9% pure silver or gold.
